Smart Chicago is integrating accessibility work into their CUTGroup program, including a test of Roll With Me with 6 people with disabilities, and a test of Chicago Cityscape that yielded a major issue in accessibility for Leaflet, a modern open-source JavaScript library for mobile-friendly interactive maps. They are including people with disabilities in future tests, allowing developers to better understand accessibility needs for their own websites. Smart Chicago's experiences here have permanently changed their testing protocol— they now have screen readers at every test and know how to activate accessibility systems on all of the machines they bring to tests.
