THE SHADOW-TO-TRIAL-TO-HIRE PROGRAM
In an effort to increase the employment of people with disabilities, PCIL will establish a performance-based hiring program for individuals with disabilities who have difficulty with interviewing but possess strong work performance potential. This program will allow employers to evaluate work potential without the obligation of having to immediately hire. The program will match employers with potential workers based on their skill sets and genuine interests. They will shadow an employee for two-three weeks to learn the essentials of the work environment. Employers will rate progress via two evaluation periods to determine further employment, or to provide suggestions for improvement.
