ACCESS TICKETS PROGRAM EXPANSION (BEGINNING FALL 2015)
The Theater will demonstrate its institutional commitment to inclusive community engagement through deepening the impact of its Access Tickets Program in conjunction with ADA 25 Chicago. The Access Tickets Program provides underwritten performance tickets and tailored artist enrichment activities for children and families dealing with disabilities and other life challenges. Since the founding of the program in 2009, the Theater has seen a 20% increase in patrons with disabilities attending performances. In partnership with ADA 25 Chicago, the Theater will identify 3-5 new health and human service organizations with which to partner to provide the inspiring benefits of the performing arts.
INCLUSIVE STAFF TRAINING (SUMMER 2015)
The Harris Theater plans to host a training session(s) for front-of-house staff from performing arts organizations throughout Chicago as part the Theater’s Learning Lab capacity-building series through ADA25. The workshop would focus on inclusive patron services for audience members with disabilities. The Harris looks forward to working with ADA25 to identify appropriate partner organizations to lead the training, focusing on those with expertise in providing customer service to individuals with mobility, hearing, and visual impairments. The Theater plans to invite its group of 35 resident music and dance companies along with additional organizations throughout Chicago as participants.

HARRIS THEATER CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS
After the first decade of the Theater’s operations, major stakeholders conducted an assessment and identified the need to embark on a comprehensive campaign to raise funds over five years to support programmatic growth and capital improvements over the next ten years. The Theater has been engaging its Trustees in leading this fundraising effort, and is proud to report more than $21.7 million raised toward the $38.8 million goal of Imagine: The Campaign for Harris Theater. As part of the Imagine campaign, the Theater will be constructing two new, high-capacity elevators in order to more efficiently accommodate the increase of patrons entering from Upper Randolph Drive, as well as serve the 20% increase in patrons with accessibility needs who attend performances as a result of the Access Tickets Program. The Theater plans to unveil its newly constructed elevators in December 2015.
