Director of Independent Living
As Director of Independent Living, Rahnee Patrick directs customer service and the connection of resources for Chicagoans with disabilities so they live self-determined lives. Rahnee is the chair of Illinois State Rehabilitation Council (SRC) thus an advisor the Secretary of the Department of Human Services and the Director of the Division of Rehabilitation Services in matters concerning individuals with disabilities and the provision of rehabilitation services. Rahnee conceived the ADAPT Youth Summit, and was the recipient of the 2008 Paul Hearne Award of the American Association of People with Disabilities. Rahnee graduated from Indiana University and co-founded Students Together Able and Respected, comprised of disabled students.
