As Deputy Commissioner of Compliance, Joe Russo is responsible for reviewing compliance with applicable accessibility codes during the building permit process. Previously, Joe held positions with Illinois Attorney General and the US Department of Justice. Joe serves on the Board of Directors of Openlands and the Center for Disability and Elder Law. Joe earned a B.A. from Georgetown University and a J.D. from New York University School of Law. Joe is a Leadership Greater Chicago Fellow (2007).
